This post marks the beginning of a very long series. Ms BBW USA is a company that will be run and controlled by Dave Wilkes of Wilkes Productions. There will be heavy influence by McMillan Consulting who will have input on many of the decisions for the company.

This is the second go round for Wilkes Productions and McMillan Consulting. The two started to embark on this same mission almost two years earlier. The ball was dropped by both firms and as a result not much progress was made. The two firms re-connected and still feel that Ms BBW USA has the chance to be something special.

Ms BBW USA is a pageant for plus size (14 and up) women who desire a showcase similar to main stream pageants. It’s a shame that the two main stream pageants are not truly open to women of all sizes. Especially since women of all sizes make up this country. Where there’s a void there is also opportunity. Wilkes Productions is poised to take advantage of this opportunity. 2009 will mark ten years of plus size pageant production in for Wilkes Productions in Philadelphia. Mr. Wilkes (and McCo) feels that he is more than ready to lead a national expansion.

McMillan Consulting sponsors thedailybiz.com, which is a blog about, news, trends and other information effecting micro entities. Ms. BBW USA will have its own category on the McMillan Consulting section of the blog. There will be frequent posts of the maturation process of this business.

This project will utilize all of McCo’s internal resources, those of our partners and those of yet to be established relationships.
